The workshop
One printer.
One pair of hands.
City Skyline Decor started on a kitchen counter in Roselle, Illinois — a single 3D printer running overnight, a city I love (Chicago), and the question of whether I could make something I'd actually want to put on my own shelf.
The first piece took fourteen hours to print and another three to sand, seal, and paint. I posted it on Facebook Marketplace for $30. Three people bought one within two weeks. None of them asked for a discount.
That's when I knew this wasn't a hobby anymore.
Now the workshop has a few more printers, a designated finishing bench, and a custom packaging line. But every skyline still passes through my hands before it ships. Every gold letter is masked and painted by me. Every box gets one final look.
